Philadelphia has received broad acclaim for turning the sometimes monotonous event into a full-on football experience. But more importantly, the Philadelphia Eagles have a crop of new players. Apparently the NFL Draft is this weekend.  Who knew!  Sources tell me the Eagles will pick 14th overall in the first round.  Let’s take a look at the realistic outcomes for the draft (starting with the least likely) and just because you read, I’ll give you my full seven-round mock draft at the end.

Free Agency Roundup – What We Thought

What grade would you give the Eagles’ free agent moves?

Dan – I give them an A. We all know the wide receivers were terrible last year. Howie knew it too. He went out and fixed it. I’m a fan of the talent he brought in. I don’t think Torey Smith is done. I think he was in a bad spot on a bad team. I expect a bounce back year. Taking a chance on Chance Warmack (see what I did there?) was a good move. A change of scenery could be very beneficial for him. Continue reading

Notable Releases:

Jason Peters (Cap Savings – $9,700,000)
Peters has been the greatest offensive lineman in Eagles history; however, he’s getting older and has a huge cap number for this years. I doubt he’ll take less money to stay with the Eagles. If Peters isn’t going to be here long term, we may as well start getting continuity with the new line. Continue reading
